Pinewood’s Garden Club, led by Ms. Williams, has revitalized the memory garden in the school’s courtyard, a space that honors former student Madeline “Maddie” Musto. Maddie, a kindergartner at Mohonasen, was known as independent and kind. When she was 5, she was diagnosed with an inoperable brain stem tumor, and she passed five days later, on Feb. 8, 2012, surrounded by her family.
