On Saturday, Nov. 22, a group of Mohonasen students and staff, known as The Blinding Lights of Mohonasen, traveled to Lake George to participate in the annual Special Olympics Polar Plunge.
The 40-member team arrived prepared to brave the icy waters in support of Special Olympics programs. In total, the team raised an impressive $4,443, far exceeding their fundraising goal.
Plunge conditions were ideal, with sunny skies and Lake George water temperatures at a brisk 48 degrees. Every participant took the plunge with courage and enthusiasm!
The event served as a celebration of community and a shared commitment to supporting Special Olympics athletes across the region. Mohonasen extends its gratitude to everyone who donated and supported the team. The district is proud to be part of such a meaningful and impactful event.
