Meet the Board Candidates

On Tuesday, May 19, Mohonasen residents will vote on the proposed $77.27 million budget for the 2026-27 school year and elect two candidates to the Board of Education. Two candidates are running uncontested for the Board.

Candidates are listed in ballot order. Information and statements were provided by the candidates.

Danielle Ciampino

Danielle Ciampino is seeking a second term on the Board. A lifelong Mohonasen resident, she and her spouse Daniel have two children, one attending Draper and the other attending Pinewood.

Ciampino is currently a stay-at-home mother, with a part-time bookkeeping business. She is also the Co-Vice President of the Mohonasen Parent Teacher Organization.

After graduating from Mohonasen, she attended Siena where she received her Bachelors in Marketing and Business Management.

“I am not a board member who simply rubber stamps decisions. During my first term, I focused on listening to district stakeholders, advocating for their concerns, and working collaboratively to make meaningful improvements for Mohonasen. I have a long term, vested interest in the success of our district, and it would be an honor to build upon the progress made in my first term by continuing to serve the Mohonasen community for a second term.”

Patrick Ryan

Patrick Ryan is seeking a fourth, non-consecutive term on the Board. Ryan, a 1980 Mohonasen graduate, has been a district resident of Mohonasen for over 40 years. He and his wife have five children, who have all come through the district.

Ryan has served in four State agencies over his career of more than 29 years. He currently serves as Deputy Commissioner for Finance and Administration at the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historical Preservation (OPRHP). In this role, he provides operational oversight to OPRHP’s finance, human resources, business innovation and grants bureaus.

“I am endeavoring to promote excellence in our schools through establishing collaborative working relationships with parents, teachers and other District stakeholders. If elected for another term, I will work with my colleagues to promote academic and vocational excellence.”
