WHEREAS, the Board of Education of the Mohonasen Central School District (“Board”) and Shannon C. Shine (“Superintendent”) are parties to an employment agreement dated April 25, 2018 (the “Agreement”); and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent has requested amendments to the Agreement and the Board has agreed to amend certain terms and conditions of his employment;
NOW, therefore, it is hereby agreed that:
- Article III, Compensation, is hereby amended to provide:
- The Superintendent shall be paid, as salary, for the 2019-2020 school year, commencing July 1, 2019, the sum of One Hundred Sixty Three Thousand Eighty Eight Dollars ($163,088).
- Article V(D), Vacation Leave, is hereby amended to provide: The Superintendent was credited with twenty (20) days of paid vacation leave on July 1, 2018. On July 1, 2019, July 1, 2020, July 1, 2021, July 1, 2022 and July 1, 2023, the Superintendent will receive one (1) additional paid vacation day, up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) days. Unused vacation leave may be accumulated up to a maximum of thirty (30) days, in addition to the current year’s allotment. Rolled over vacation leave may be used during any subsequent year of employment with the approval of the Board of Education. In the event the Superintendent has unused and/or accumulated vacation leave at the time his employment with the District terminates, he shall be paid at the rate of 1/240th for each such unused accumulated day, up to a maximum of thirty (30) days; except that for any year that the Superintendent does not work a full year, the vacation days credited, for purposes of accumulation and this pay out, shall be pro-rated for each month worked. All other provisions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect, in accordance with the terms of the Agreement.
