Mohonasen is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Effective July 1, 2001, all new employees are subject to a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check in accordance with New York State SAVE Legislation. Non-teaching substitute employees are responsible for the one-time $101.75 fingerprinting processing fee. Substitutes are reimbursed after working 5 days. When a substitute leaves the district before 60 days, the district reserves the right to recoup the reimbursed amount.

Transportation Assistant Director

Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 based on experience
Benefits: Health Insurance, NYS Retirement and others
Skills: Creation of routes for the school year using routing software and following all state and local rules and regulations; troubleshoot routes once the school year begins; oversees the day to day operations of the department under the direction of the Transportation Supervisor, including the supervision of the trainers and dispatcher; drives bus routes as needed; assists with training classes for drivers and aides.
Requirements: Graduation from High School or GED and three (3) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of automotive equipment, operation of a multiple-passenger vehicle or dispatching motor equipment. Possession of a CDL Class B license with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement. Possession of a current 19A Certified Examiner License at the time of appointment. Possession of credentials as a NYS School Bus Driver Instructor. Must meet Civil Service requirements and take the exam when it is offered.
