The Mohonasen Drone Soccer team placed 4th out of 16 teams at the National Drone Soccer Championships, beating teams from as far as Istanbul, Turkey. The team represented the East Coast well, as the top three teams were from California.
Mohonasen quickly became a topic of discussion at the event as a first-year team showcasing incredible talent. The teamwork and communication from all of the players were praised by many officials from the US Drone Soccer League, as well as other coaches and players.
Before the competition and equipment inspection, the team, along with their coaches, Mr. Vacca and Mr. Buehler, were able to visit Washington, DC. They visited the World War II memorial, Reflection Pool, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the Capitol, and the White House. They also spent time inside the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum.
