Yankee Trails and The Bus Stop Club have partnered to brighten your day while also collecting donated non-perishable items for local schools and food pantries.

On Friday, July 10th, Be on the lookout for the #YTHopeBus, “Lightning McQueen” and “Waldo” as they take to the roads throughout Mohonasen, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The bus will be collecting non-perishable items that will benefit the Mohonasen School District’s Community. If you are able to do so, please leave donated items, in a bag with handles, near your mailbox or at the end of your driveway, so the volunteers can easily collect the items.

Suggested donation items include:

  • Cereal
  • Oatmeal
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Ramen noodle soup
  • Chicken noodle soup
  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Bread
  • Canned fruit and vegetables
  • Rice A Roni/Knorr pasta sides  
  • SpaghettiOs/Chef Boyardee
  • Tuna fish
  • Canned chicken
  • Pasta
  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Granola bars
  • Individually packed snacks (chips, cookies, etc.)
  • Juice boxes
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes
  • Deodorant (boys and girls)
  • Shampoo and conditioner

Yankee Trails and The Bus Stop Club invite residents to poke your heads out, wave at the bus, show your signs, dance to the music if you like and above all else, stay safe. Don’t forget to use #518RainbowHunt; #YTHopeBus; #BusStopClub when posting your photos and videos.

Yankee Trails Hope Bus is partnering with Mohonasen School District from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, July 10 to collect donations of non-perishable food items for our school food pantries that serve our Mohonasen families.  

The Hope Bus—along with Mohonasen administrators, supervisors, and some friendly characters—will be visiting local neighborhoods in our school community to brighten your day and spread some cheer!  To maintain social distancing, donations can be left at the end of your driveway for curbside pick-up.  If you are not on the designated route, feel free to drop your donations off to a nearby neighborhood. The official route of the Hope Bus will be released early next week.

If you are unable to purchase supplies, but would still like to donate, remember we are always accepting donations on our GoFundme page! Donations there support MohonCARES, which helps feed, clothe and provide supplies to families in each of our buildings.
