| December 5, 2019

Is it an “a” or an “o”?

After 25 rounds, Draper eighth-grader Alexandra Greenwood placed first in the annual Draper Spelling Bee by correctly spelling the word distal.

She and eighth-grader Spencer Pease went toe-to-toe for several rounds before Alex took the crown, taking turns spelling words such as unquenchable, diaphoresis, visite, levees, gallium, Giza, jodhpurs and divan. Spencer is the school’s runner-up.
