Nutritious free meals are available for children and teens 18 and younger at many locations throughout the summer while school is out of session. In the Schenectady area, Schenectady Community Ministries (SICM) is beginning its 25th year of serving Summer Meals for Teens and Kids.

SiCM’s Summer Meals Program serves free breakfast and lunch to the youth at dozens of fixed and mobile sites. A list of sites in Schenectady can be found below.

  • Meals are available to any youth 18 years of age or younger
  • All sites are closed on Thursday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day
  • This institution is an equal opportunity provider

The SiCM Summer Food Service Program is a public-private partnership with grants from the NYS Department of Education with funds from the United States Department of Agriculture; United Way of the Greater Capital Region; the City of Schenectady; No Kid Hungry; area congregations, business, and individuals.
