More than 20 students in the Mohonasen High School Gaming Club are working together to form an eSports team to compete in the Northeastern Regional Information Center’s (NERIC) upcoming season this February.
In order for Mohonasen students to form their team, they will need help paying for entry fees and the necessary software and equipment.
Esports provide students with learning opportunities in STEM and connections to CTE and next generation standards. All games are endorsed by the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) as age appropriate and are played by schools throughout the country.
The spring season starts in February and goes through May 2020.
The Mohonasen High School Gaming Club is open to current students in grades 9-12.
