| July 27, 2015

Ever wonder how wind turbine blades create electricity that powers homes? Mohonasen students in grades 5 and 6 had a chance learn about that and more during an “engineers for a day” program at GE Power and Wind. The visit was part of the district’s summer STEM program, “GE Little Engineers.”

Working with GE mentors, students learned about wind turbines and had the opportunity to invent their own blades. They also learned about alternative resources and engineering challenges.
