main content starts hereStream Tuesday’s ballot count

| June 16, 2020

The Mohonasen Central School District will begin counting ballots at 5 p.m. tonight. You can watch that live stream here.

If you have a Mohonasen email account, you can use it to log in to the stream. You may also use the following guest credentials:

  • Username: hsguest@mohonasen.org

The process

Poll inspectors will open sealed, signed envelopes and remove the ballots while keeping them folded to ensure confidentiality. They will then place the ballots in a separate box before they are unfolded and scanned using voting machines.

The ballots contain votes on the school district’s proposed budget, two Board of Education seats and a bus proposition.

Accepting the results

After the ballots have been counted, the Board of Education will accept the official results during a separate meeting. You will be able to live stream that here. Please use your Mohonasen account or the guest credentials to log in.

The results will also be posted on the district website as soon as they are available Tuesday night.
