High school administrators were alerted this morning to a threat involving a weapon that had been made to a student by another student. Administrators and the high school’s School Resource Officer questioned the student involved. Because this is a student disciplinary matter, we cannot provide more specifics on this case. However, please be assured that no weapon was on school grounds and at no time were students in danger.

Though the threat was not real, we want to assure you that supporting the safety, success and emotional welfare of our students remains our top priority.  We also want to commend the students who reported the incident to administrators. Students are often the best eyes and ears in cases like this. We ask that parents please remind your children of the importance of speaking up when they suspect there may be danger.

If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact the district office at 356-8200.
