Dear Mohonasen Families,
In these unprecedented times, we are all working together to ensure our community’s safety while still addressing the needs of our children. During the COVID-19 health crisis, here are a couple of updates to ensure support for our students with special needs.
Annual Reviews will continue as previously scheduled. You will be sent an email with sign-on information to participate by phone or through Google Meet. If you plan to participate using Google Meet, it’s recommended that you download the app to your phone prior to the meeting. If you want to participate by phone, use the phone number and PIN on the email to call in at the time of the meeting. For additional information about Google Meet, please find videos on Mr. Vacca’s YouTube channel. This is a new experience for everyone involved and we appreciate everyone’s flexibility.
Continuation of Instruction
Your child should be provided resources and instructional materials to support their annual goals. If you have not received information or have instructional questions, please contact your child’s service provider. For most service providers, this is the first time they are supporting students remotely or with materials sent home. Please follow the recommendations of the service provider, contact them if you need support, and provide them feedback regarding your child’s learning. If you do not know how to connect to your child’s service provider, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you call and leave a message on the Student Support Services school phone, we may or may not be able to check messages based on directions for New York State in a timely manner.
