Sixth Grade Orchestra performs at Empire State Plaza

On Friday, March 16, the Draper Sixth Grade Orchestra had the opportunity to perform as part of Music in Our Schools Month at the Empire State Plaza.

Music in Our Schools Month is sponsored annually by the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) to highlight the benefits of high-quality music education programs in schools.

The students had a great performance and were excellent representatives for Mohonasen. They were visited by Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara, who listened to their performance and spoke to the group and to the audience about the importance of music curriculum in our schools.

Everyone had a great time!
