| June 16, 2016

On the morning of Wednesday, June 15, senior students from Mohonasen High School embarked on a new tradition. They put on the caps and gowns that they will once again don next Saturday for their graduation ceremony and set out to their former stomping grounds: Draper Middle School, Pinewood Intermediate School and Bradt Primary School.

At each school, the seniors took a walk down the hallways where teachers and their younger peers lined the walls and watched on with anticipation. When the seniors arrived, they were greeted with enthusiastic cheers, high-fives and hugs as they took time to revisit old memories, say hello to former teachers and inspire future generations of Mohonasen graduates. This symbolic event serves as an opportunity to show the younger students what their hard work will one day bring.

Commencement for the Class of 2016 will take place next Saturday, June 25 at 2 p.m. at Proctors Theatre in Schenectady.
