Saratoga Elks present $2,500 check to Mohon Jazz Ensemble

The Saratoga-Wilton Elks Lodge #161 and the Avant-Garde Alumni Drum Corps presented a check to the Mohonasen Jazz Ensemble on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

The Jazz Ensemble had performed during the Concert Celebrating the Music of Chuck Mangione on June 7 at the Lake Avenue Elementary School, and to thank them for their contribution, the Elks presented part of the proceeds — a check for $2,500 — to support the district’s Performing Arts programs.

“It was a pleasure to hear the Mohonasen High School Jazz Ensemble,” Exalted Ruler Gerry Conboy said. “The Saratoga-Wilton Elks are happy to know that music is alive and well in our community and we are pleased to support our youth’s efforts.”
