Ms. Sparlin posted herself singing “Over the Rainbow” on the 518 Rainbow Hunt Facebook page and found a way to tie that to learning.
“I posted the video on Google Classroom with a brief history of the song and the assignment to create and submit a rainbow,” Ms. Sparlin said. “Our recent Tri-M Workshop day performer and clinician, Peter Pashoukas, posted an instrumental of the song on Instagram. I took the rainbow the kids made and united them with Peter’s soundtrack. It’s pretty darn cool.”
