Pinewood physical education staff recognize fifth grade students

Pinewood Physical Education staff honored fifth graders who demonstrated leadership in physical education class.

Coach Guthrie, Coach Murnane, and Coach Vachon nominated and recognized ten fifth grade students for the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (NYS AHPERD) Sandra G. Morely Elementary and Middle School Leadership Awards.

In past years, the award ceremony was held at Hudson Valley Community College with area schools from all over the Capital District. Due to recent circumstances, staff members drove to each student’s house to present them with their award.
