Fourth graders in Mrs. Altomer’s and Mrs. MacMaster’s classes at Pinewood School held a Native American Iroquois Harvest Festival to showcase their work for parents and families. Some of the activities included:

  • Playing Native American games once played by the Iroquois of the Eastern Woodlands
  • Viewing informative PowerPoint presentations in the computer lab
  • Perusing detailed log house projects created by students
  • Listening to Native American stories and viewing artwork created by students
  • Creating authentic Native American arts and crafts
  • Sampling Native American Iroquois foods from the “Three Sisters Cookbook”
