Five student Box Tops winners smile for cameraThanks to the great efforts of students at Pinewood Intermediate School, students are on their way to raising $1,000 for the school. To date, more than $100 has been raised, and the collection slips continue to pour in to school. Five students’ names were chosen from all the Box Tops submission slips that were collected since the start of the school year.  The winners are:

  • Natalie Kurick, grade 4, Mrs. MacMaster’s class
  • Meleana Rivenburgh, grade 4, Mrs. Strang’s class
  • Henry Paul, grade 5, Mrs. Kelts’ class
  • CJ Barker, grade 5, Mrs. Kelts’ class
  • Shawn Shepard, grade 5, Mrs. Kelts’ class

These students won a Box Tops sticker, pencil, magnet and selections of their choice from our Box Tops snack prize bin.  We hope to hold the next drawing before Thanksgiving break, so keep those slips coming in to school!

More fundraising news

Our Hannaford Helps Schools program is also going very well. This program runs until Dec. 1, 2018, so please continue to send the slips into school with your child or deposit them in the collection tower at the Altamont Ave. Hannaford store. Pinewood will receive a check from Hannaford in the early spring.

Price Chopper Tools for Schools will show how many points each school has collected.  You can check this online at: https://www.pricechopper.com/ tools-schools. This program runs through Dec. 29, 2018.  In March, we will order school equipment from a Price Chopper catalog using our accumulated Price Chopper Tools for Schools points.

Another “free” fundraising opportunity is available through the Tyson Project A+ program. Send in any of the qualifying labels and Pinewood school receives 24 cents for each label.

Finally, Pinewood School has a new corporate partner this year. Coca-Cola Gives to Schools is a program targeted at the adults in children’s lives who may use Coca-Cola products. Please visit this site for more information, including what products participate and how to locate the product code. You can participate by entering the code found on some Coca-Cola bottle caps or on the cardboard packaging on larger product packages.  If you prefer, you may send in your (rinsed) bottle caps or code from the cardboard packaging.

If you have any questions about any of these fund raising programs, please contact Mr. Thompson or Mrs. Kline at Pinewood School.
