Parent Educational Workshop Free of Charge to Mohonasen CSD Families
New Choices Prevention Program in Schenectady will offer free virtual seminars to families of Mohonasen Central School District students beginning Oct. 27.
The seminar utilizes PAX Tools, which is a collection of evidence-based behavioral strategies to help families promote and improve cooperation and self-regulation skills of their children.
PAX Tools helps children increase focus, motivation, stamina and other skills that help them improve their study habits and their academic, social and psychological outcomes while also reducing toxic influences.
The dates and times for family members to participate are as follows:
· Bradt: Tuesday, Oct. 27 from 11 a.m. to noon or 5 to 6 p.m.
· Pinewood: Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 11 a.m. to noon or 5 to 6 p.m.
· Draper: Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 11 a.m. to noon or 5 to 6 p.m.
· High School: Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 11 a.m. to noon or 5 to 6 p.m.
PAX Tools draws on decades of science to create strategies that support parents, guardians, and other caring adults to create a nurturing environment that ultimately helps kids thrive. Participants will receive information and materials, including access to the Pax Tools app.
