| December 5, 2016

Eighth grade students stepped back in time as part of their English Language Arts class during the annual “Outsiders” Day in November.

Based on the landmark novel, “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton, students participated in 1950s games and activities while dressed in character as “Greasers” or “Socs.” Students learned ‘50s dance moves, hula-hooped and took part in a limbo contest. Students also signed a “graffiti wall” with messages they thought characters from the book would leave.
