Music students gain insight on performance, industry during Tri-M Workshop Day
Mohonasen Music Honor Society students had some hands-on experiences during the annual Tri-M Workshop Day on March 6. Students attended four separate workshops during the day-long event, which included yoga and movement, music technology and software, ukulele playing and musical theater.
Following the workshops, the students were treated to a performance in the black box theater at the Center for Advanced Technology by Sirsy, an Albany-based rock duo.
Workshop presenters included Mary Clare O’Connor (certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher and certified Kripalu Yoga Dance instructor); Jason Panucci (national sales manager for MusicFirst, a company that offers cloud-based tools for music education); Stephanie Rosselli (Mohonasen music teacher and ukulele player); and Joshua DeMarco (Capital District actor and dancer and Mohonasen alumnus).
