Mohonasen to deliver donations to women and children in need for Mother’s Day

Each year, Mohonasen staff members collect personal care products to be delivered to the YWCA Women’s Shelter in Schenectady for Mother’s Day. These boxes, containing items from many generous donors throughout the district, will be delivered to the shelter on May 10.

This year, Mrs. McGuire’s second grade class planted individual flowers to give to all of the mothers at the shelter, and the Mohonasen Teachers Association has donated several new books for children from their first book program, done in conjunction with NYSUT at Christmas.

Thank you to everyone who has made this year another success — and will help to provide a special day for mothers and children in need.
