If your child is ABSENT, you need to call the attendance clerk at 518-356-8315.  A note written by you needs to be handed in when the child returns to school OR emailed to Mrs. Konrad at kkonrad@mohonasen.org in our attendance office.

Registration for the AP exams is now open through FamilyID. Remember, you must be part of the AP Classroom associated with the class you are in. If you have not “joined” yet, you can not register for the AP exam. Please see your AP instructor or Mr. Wood if you have questions.

To continue to support Mohonasen students and families challenged by food insecurity, the Mohonasen Board of Education will be holding a district-wide curbside food drive on Saturday, October 16th from 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM in front of the Mohonasen High School Auditorium.

SENIORS:

Seniors: Are you struggling with your college essay? If so, please come to Room 41 on Thursdays during 10th period, starting 9/23. No matter where you are in the process (and even if you haven’t started), help is available! See Mrs. Spore if you have any questions.

CLUBS:

Attention 9th-12th graders! For anyone interested in running for class officer (i.e President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary) There will be a general interest meeting on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14th during 10th period in the LGI. You MUST attend the meeting in order to obtain the necessary forms and information.

The high school Technology Club will be holding its first informational meeting Thursday October 14th during 10th period in room 5 of the high school. If you like doing hands-on projects and you are interested in technology, come and check it out!

There will be a Student Council Meeting on Tuesday, October 19th in Cafeteria B during Period 10.  All students are welcome to attend.  We will be setting our project agenda for the year so come with suggestions on how to make a difference and promote Mohon Pride.  See you there.

Anyone interested in joining NO PLACE FOR HATE — we will be meeting TODAY period 10 in the HS library.  ALL students and faculty who care about equity, diversity, inclusion & access are WELCOME to join our group of peacemakers & activists!!  If you have any questions, please see Blinn or Veeder.  We hope to see you at the meeting!

As a reminder, Mohon Masque is welcoming anyone who may be interested in attending the weekly dance workshops on Wednesdays from 3 to 4:30 pm! Come on down to the auditorium, be our guest!

SPORTS:

This Friday at our Varsity Football game against Ravena we encourage all of you to play your part in raising awareness for Breast Cancer and the effect that it has on our world. This calls for a Pink & White out on the Mohon Turf! There are going to be two donation bins to contribute to the American Cancer Society, we encourage ALL of our classmates to partake by wearing pink and white and sitting in the designated student section, which will be decorated accordingly. Hope to see you there!

Boys basketball open gym is tonight, 7-830pm in the high school gym

Girls Varsity Soccer won in their colonial council championship semifinal match against Holy Names 3-1. They now move onto play in the finals against Shalmont at 7pm at Ravena on Friday.
