Mohonasen Color Guard teams capture honors at Colors in Motion

Congratulations to the Mohonasen Color Guard groups for capturing awards at the 21st annual Colors in Motion Color Guard Competition. Mohonasen hosted the competition on Feb. 23.

Capturing first place were both the Mohonasen Varsity and Junior Varsity teams. The Pinewood School Color Guard finished second in its competition.

The Mohonasen Varsity Color Guard has competed at two Winter Guard International regional competitions and is currently ranked 19th in the country. They performed their inspirational routine of “The Hero Within.”

The Mohonasen JV Color Guard has been wowing audiences and earning first place finishes with its members staging a show of “snakes vs. snake charmer” in “Wicked Game.”

The Pinewood Color Guard — a group of 27 energetic fifth graders which made its competitive debut a few weeks ago — presented their show “Cloud 9.”
