Mohon students create sustainable tote bags

Mohonasen’s Environmental Science student-crafted sustainable tote bags, made from t-shirts and talent, are going places.

Through a partnership with Plato’s Closet, The Sustainable Tote Project (STP) could be used to engage and support the Mohonasen community of schools and families. Donated t-shirts would be turned into totes by students, groups, or individuals then sold to be used in the store.

The proceeds would be used by MohonCares (Connecting Area Resources to Empower Students), to fund any one of Mohonasen’s Anchor Rooms, The Backpack Project, or any of the other initiatives designed to meet the needs of our students and their families.

MohonCARES represents the different ways the district supports students in need by providing clothing, food and supplies for free. The goal is to meet the needs of every student while they attend Mohonasen.
