Mohon Girls Indoor Track wins Section 2 championship

Congratulations to the Mohonasen girls indoor track team who won their third straight Section 2 Championship on Monday, Feb. 17 at the University at Albany.

The win capped an outstanding post season for the girls track team. The varsity team won their second straight Colonial Council Championship, while the freshmen won their first ever league championship.

Highlights from the meet can be found below.

• Natalia Sawyer won the 55 meter hurdles and 300 meter dash
• Kate Sherman won the 3000 meter run and anchored the two mile relay
• Emma Sinisgalli, Jocelyn Countryman & Rachel Miller completed the two mile relay team

Zionna Perez Tucker (300 meters) and Natalia Sawyer (55 meter hurdles, 300 meters) both qualified for the NYSPHSAA Indoor Track State Championships.
