Mr. Craig Chandler will join the Mohonasen family as the new high school principal.

Mr. Chandler was most recently the assistant principal at Shenendehowa High School. Prior to that, he served as assistant principal at Queensbury High School and dean of students at Ballston Spa High School. He began his career as an English teacher in Ballston Spa, at both the middle and high school levels.

Mr. Chandler received degrees from both SUNY Albany and The College of St. Rose.

“I am beyond thankful to the Board of Education, district leadership, and all the stakeholders who have provided me with this incredible opportunity,” Mr. Chandler said. “It was evident in the interview process that this is a very special place, and I can’t wait to get started. I am very much looking forward to getting to know the students, families, and staff that make up the Mohonasen community.”

Mr. Chandler’s appointment was approved at a Board of Education meeting on Monday, Aug. 5. He will begin his tenure on Monday, Aug. 19.

Mr. Chandler is married to his wife, Jeannine, and they have two daughters, Olivia and Ella.
