Mohonasen High School 10th-grade Global Studies and 12th-grade Business students traveled to New York City in mid-April for a historical and cultural experience.

After a tour of the Jewish Heritage Museum and Living Memorial, the students met Sol Rosenkranz, a 98-year-old survivor of the Holocaust and gallery educator at the museum. Mr. Rosenkranz shared with the students his emotional story of his experiences and his message of hope and peace.

The students were also able to make a trip to the 9/11 Memorial Museum where they had the opportunity to learn about the implications and continuing significance of the events that took place on September 11.

Taking advantage of a warm and sunny spring day, the students participated in a walking tour of lower Manhattan where they traversed famous sites such as Battery Park, Wall Street and the Financial District.
