Message from Lin-Manuel Miranda

In March 2022, Bradt music teacher Mrs. Poutre completed a March Madness Bracket of Disney songs for Lori Giattino’s development skills class.  The students matched up the top 16 Disney songs of all time, according to Billboard Magazine.

Mrs. Poutre wrote a letter to composer Lin-Manuel Miranda telling him that many of his songs were in the top four places of the students’ bracket and the song “Surface Pressure” from Encanto was chosen as the winner. A year later he responded with a heartfelt message.
