It’s Spirit Week at Mohonasen
Annual Spirit Week kicked off today at the High School with Monochromatic Monday (HS), where students wore different shades of the same color.
The week concludes on Friday with an afternoon Pep Rally beginning at 1:40 p.m. and the varsity football homecoming game against Broadalbin-Perth at 7 p.m. Black and Orange are the preferred clothing color choice for the day, officially known as Spirit Day.
In-between Monday and Friday at the High School are events including Twin Tuesday, where students can “twin” with a student, staff member or group and dress alike for the day. Students and staff will dress up as cowgirls and cowboys on Wild West Wednesday, and Thursday they’ll dress as their favorite movie, television or comic book characters (think super heroes).
Draper has it’s own calendar of fun, spirit-driven activities this week:
– Monday is All Around the World Day: students will dress to represent your favorite place; Tuesday is Twinning Tuesday: Like the High school, students will find twins for the day; Wednesday is Favorite Sports Team Day: They’ll wear the gear that represents their favorite team; and Thursday is Decade Day: They’ll dress in a style representing a historical time period.
All grades will show their school spirit on Friday when students wear the Mohonasen black and orange.
The junior and senior high schools will award daily prizes to those showing the most school spirit.
