Now that the state has met the 70 percent vaccination threshold, the Department of Health has made significant changes to its end-of-year school celebration guidance. We will maintain our original Moving Up schedule (above), as the district is sure many people took specific blocks of time off from work to attend. Below are the changes we have made for Moving Up based on the new guidance from the state. The changes only apply to our Moving Up ceremonies. Regular school guidance has not changed.
- Masks are required only for unvaccinated individuals indoors. All students must also wear a mask indoors. We will use the honor system in regards to vaccination status. Vaccinated adults do not need to wear a mask in the auditorium.
- Individuals do not need to fill out a health attestation prior to attending their Moving Up ceremony.
- Each student may now have up to six guests attend their Moving Up Ceremony in person. There is no longer any need to RSVP or sign in upon entering the High School Auditorium. Students will sit with their family pod. Social distancing is no longer mandatory, but we recommend at least one seat remain empty between pods.
