Fourteen MHS student musicians earn Area All-State honors

Fourteen Mononasen High School students have been selected to participate in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Area All-State Festival to be held at Saratoga High School, Friday-Saturday, Nov. 16-17.  The festival features the top student musicians and vocalists from nine counties across the greater Capital Region, Mohawk Valley and the Southern Adirondacks.

“The Area All-State Festival is highly competitive,” said Kimberly Kondenar, the district’s facilitator of K-12 Performing Arts and orchestra director. “We are thrilled to have so many selected to attend from our school.”

Kondenar said a concert featuring student performances will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. at Saratoga High School. It is open to the public.
