Eleven talented music students from Draper Middle School recently participated in the annual Suburban Council Music Festival. The participating students had to audition back in January for a highly coveted spot in the ensemble, competing against peers from all the suburban schools.

The 11 selected participants headed to the festival at Schenectady High School to take part in a concert performance, demonstrating their musical skills that wowed the crowd.

“The students did an amazing job,” Mohonasen Performing Arts Facilitator Kimberly Kondenar commented. “You would have thought it was a performance from high school students — they are amazingly talented kids!”

Festival participants from Draper included:

  • Alexis Brown
  • Julia Grock
  • Theo Hackett
  • Madeline Hart
  • Deanna Lopez
  • Kyle Margison
  • Nathan Mostoller
  • Anthony Mucci
  • Daniel Richards
