Wooden storage bin on classroom floorDraper Middle School students in a Skills Development Project Class have been using their time with their teacher, Steve Blais, to create items that help improve their classroom. The students and Mr. Blais have been hard at work breaking down wooden palettes to build under-table storage bins that will hold student binders and classroom items.

Through their work on this project, the students have had the opportunity to learn about proper tool use, making measurements and safety topics all while they’ve developed their communication and team-building skills.

With one bin completed, the group is looking forward to making at least five more.
