Approximately 50 seniors were honored on June 9 as Capital Region BOCES Career and Technical School (CTE) celebrated the conclusion of its second year operating in the Center for Advanced Technology (CAT) at Mohonasen.

Students from a multitude of schools were recognized for their academic success in the welding, game design, manufacturing, theater, sterile processing and the advanced alternative energy programs.

Among the award winners were two Mohonasen students, Ryan Bollock and Noah Helion. Congratulations to all of the award winners listed below:

  • Outstanding Student of the Year: Rod Nichols, Welding, Schalmont
  • Gregory J.Knorr Memorial Award for Exceptional Citizenship and Character: Evan Pollard, Video Game Design, Guilderland
  • American Red Cross Scholarship: Ryan Gundermann, Video Game Design, Guilderland
  • SkillsUSA Student of Year: Ryan Gundermann
  • Advanced Alternative Energy Outstanding Student: Richard Van Alstyne, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District
  • Game Design & Implementation Outstanding Student: Joel Chavez, Schenectady
  • Game Design & Implementation Growth in Achievement: Alexander Rivenburgh, Middleburgh
  • Game Design & Implementation Academic Achievement: Kelly Mullen, Duanesburg
  • Game Design & Implementation II Outstanding Student: Gunnar Lasher, Niskayun
  • Game Design & Implementation II Growth in Achievement: Ryan Bollock, Mohonasen
