students and adults sew togetherConnecting Threads is an opportunity to meet, share and expand the hands-on craft of sewing, knitting and crocheting. It is open to both teachers and students that need help with clothing repairs or enjoy working on sewing/fiber projects. Recently Mrs. D’Annibale, Teaching Assistant at Mohonasen High School,  award winning  fiber artist for over 10 years and a member of the  Golden Fleece Spinning and Weaving Guild in Schoharie, demonstrated the art of spinning sheep’s wool into yarn as students learned to spin their own wool into yarn using a pencil. Connecting Threads meets in the FACS room at the high school every Wednesday during Period 10. Our next project will be sewing pillowcases for Northern Rivers to support children leaving the foster care system. All are welcome!
