| December 17, 2021

With 15 different cultures represented, the Draper Peers for Peace group sponsored a “Celebration of Cultures” event on Friday, December 17 that capped off a week long celebration of student diversity.

The event gave students the opportunity to showcase their culture through fact sharing, pictures and food samples.

Throughout the week, students highlighted a different culture on DMSTV while the food service team offered desserts for the cultures that DMSTV showcased. Not only did Draper’s food service support the event, but the World Language department also helped decorate the lobby with student artwork.

Peers for Peace is offered at both the middle school and high school. The goal of this student group is to raise awareness about human rights and increase tolerance and respect for diversity within the school and community.
