The Mohonasen Business Advisory Board, in partnership with Schenectady County Connects, will host a Virtual Career Exploration Event for students in 6th to 12th grade from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday and Friday, May 20 and 21.
Students, faculty, parents and community members are welcome to join the event, which will include representatives from many professions, including first response, human services, military, construction trades and more. See list below.
Schenectady County Connects (Schenectady County Job Training Agency, SJTA) a Mohonasen Business Advisory Board partner, is offering its communications platform, Premier Virtual, at no charge to participants or the district.
During the event, virtual booths are open from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day. On the first day, Thursday, May 20, the booths will be “live” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Presenters will be available to receive typed questions and provide typed responses from their virtual booths. During the event, participants can sign in and view presentations in the booths they select. There is no limit on how many booths you can visit either day. Please note that there is not a live Q&A session on the second night.
