Board resolution asks state to lift indoor mask requirement
The Mohonasen Board of Education unanimously passed a resolution asking the state Department of Health to lift the indoor mask requirement for students in the district. At a rare special meeting on Saturday, June 12, the board sent a statement to state officials that student education is negatively impacted by the constant use of masks, especially in warmer weather.
Mohonasen lifted the mask mandate for all outdoor activity on school grounds after the state gave districts the leverage to make outdoor mask wearing optional.
