Approximately 200 original works of art were on display during the 2nd Annual Draper Art Show, held Jan. 17 in the art gallery at Mohonasen High School. The show featured work completed by students in grades 6-8 during the first and second quarters. Quarter 3/ 4 art students will have their work on display during the District Art Show in May.
The artwork included collage, drawing, painting and digital photography. There was also a Mandala creation station, where students could watch how Tibetan Monks created Sand Mandalas and color their own mandalas in using markers. The Mandala exhibit was designed to educate and inspire visitors on the importance of the art process in making, not only the finished piece.
