From medicine to music to gaming to teaching, the annual 8th grade “Passport to Your Future” Career Day on March 18 featured a broad range of career fields. Draper welcomed 16 career presenters, with students being able t particiapate in four different career sessions.

The day began with an inspirational keynote speech from Mike Saccocio, executive director of the City Mission of Schenectady.

The careers represented were: Crime Scene Investigation, Medical Field, Entrepreneurship, Sports Medicine, Welding /Plumbing/Construction, Gaming/E-Sports, Author, Music Industry, Engineering, Cosmetology, Marketing/Sales, Teaching, Social Work, and Research Science.

Special thanks to all of the presenters who volunteered their time and expertise to give our students a glimpse into their future possibilities, and to the Draper Counselors for making the day happen!
