Mohonasen High School’s Anchor Room is holding a toiletry drive to help students in need.

The Anchor Room, organized by Mohonasen High School’s Alternative Education Program, provides clothing and other basic necessities to students.

“We get clothing through donations and by working with City Mission, but there are often times when students don’t have access to basic products like shampoo and deodorant,” said Alt Ed teacher Faith Perry.

Perry said several local businesses have stepped up to support the Anchor Room with donations, including Mallozzi’s, Daviero Power Washing, Adams Heating and Cooling Company, Town Decorators and Skip’s Sealcoating. The donations have been a tremendous help, but the need is ongoing, she said.

Perry said the most frequent requests include: shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Please drop off items at Mohonasen High School, attention Anchor Room.
