As part of a flurry of end-of-schoolyear activity, members of the Mohonasen district are taking part in The Murph Challenge, a series of intense physical activity that honors the memory and service of Navy SEAL Lt. Michael P. Murphy – a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient honored posthumously for heroic actions on one of many missions he led in Afghanistan.

The Murph Challenge is not for everyone; it involves a one-mile run, 100 pullups, 200 pushups, 300 squats and another one-mile run – some will do all of this wearing a 20-pound vest. Learn more about the The Murph Challenge, and find out more about Lt. Murphy at the Memorial Foundation created in his name.

Meanwhile, MHS Principal Craig Chandler got a head start on his Murph Challenge recently and, with his daughter’s videography and editing skills, put together this entertaining segment.
