Pinewood student Grace MacTurk was selected as the winner of Pinewood’s Character Counts T-shirt Design Contest for the 2016-17 school year. Her design has been placed on shirts that will be distributed to all Pinewood students nominated for monthly character qualities through the school’s Character Counts program.

During November, eighth-grade students from Draper Middle School Home and Careers classes teamed up to make 35 beds for cats. Their comfortable creations will be donated to the Animal Protective Foundation, a local, full-service humane society that provides services to Schenectady County and the greater Capital Region.
The High School Academic Award Letter Ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, in the high school auditorium. Letters have been sent to students who will be recognized at the ceremony.
