Hurricane Tracking

Logging in with WeatherBug Achieve...  First CLICK HERE!
2. Enter our zip code: 12303
 3. The school list will appear.  Select Pinewood as our school. 
 
4. Then select your grade.
 		5. In the Tools section, go to Storm Central.

6. Then click on the link near the bottom of the screen called, Interactive Storm Tracker. 

You may need to click on the "maximize button" in order to maximize the window.

 
Use the Interactive Storm Tracker to track Hurricane Katrina on your map.
 Date each 00:00 am (midnight) dot, starting with August 24 and ending with September 1.
(You will have 9 dots (one per day) when you are finished.)

HINTS:

Use Clear All to get a blank map.

Select the year and storm that you would like. (2005, Katrina)

Place your mouse over the dots. A yellow box appears with details of the storm at that location.
Use the Interactive Storm Tracker in order to answer the worksheet questions.
