Pesticide Notification Information

New York State Education Law Section 409-H and State Education Department Commissioner’s Regulation 155.24, requires all public and nonpublic elementary and secondary schools to provide written notification to all persons in parental relation, faculty, and staff regarding the potential use of pesticides periodically throughout the school year.

Please note that while we will still maintain a list of all those requesting 48 hour prior notification to the application of any pesticide. As of May 18, 2011, New York State has banned the use of pesticides on any school grounds, except that of an emergency application.

Asbestos Plan & Reinspection Notification

In accordance with the EPA Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) of 1987 (40 CFR Part 763), the Mohonasen Central School District put in place a management plan to identify and manage asbestos building materials. Periodic surveillances are done every six months. Learn more
