Asbestos Plan & Reinspection Notification

In accordance with the EPA Asbestos Hazard
Emergency Response Act (AHERA) of 1987 (40 CFR Part 763), the
Mohonasen Central School District put in place a management plan to
identify and manage asbestos building materials. Periodic
surveillances are done every six months.
For this summer, some asbestos abatement is planned as part of
continuing building projects at Mohonasen High School, Draper Middle
School, Pinewood Intermediate School and Bradt Primary School.
Specific details regarding dates and the scope of the work will be
made available as the projects progress and notices will be posted
at building doors before abatement work is started.
The Asbestos Management Plan for the school is kept on file in the
district office. These records are available for review during
regular business hours (8:30 am- 3:30 pm) or by making a special
